The Five Things You Need To Know Today (August 21)

1. Pakistan Ex-Leader Charged With Assassination- Ex-Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has been charged with the 2007 assassination of his Prime Minster Benazir Bhutto. Musharraf pleaded not guilty in a Pakistani court on Tuesday.

2. Three Teens Charged With Killing Baseball Player- Three Oklahoman teens were charged with murder Tuesday for the alleged killing of Christopher Lane, an Australian baseball player studying in the United States. The teens claimed they killed Lane “for fun, as a way to breakup the boredom of summer.”

3. PlayStation 4 Set For Fall Release- Sony has announced a November 15 release date. The console will cost $399 and fifteen games will be initially released.

4. NSYNC Set For Reunion- The popular boy band NSYNC headline by Justin Timberlake will reunite for the first time since 2002 at the MTV VMA Awards. There is no word yet on whether they will perform full songs or just a small snippet of their work.

5. RIP Elmore Leonard- Mystery/thriller writer Elmore Leonard passed away yesterday at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke a few weeks ago. Leonard was known for his brief writing style along with many people adapting his works for Hollywood.
