The Five Things You Need To Know Today (July 10)

1. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev To Appear In Court Today- For the first time since he emerged out of a blood soaked boat, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will appear in a Boston court today face 30 federal charges including use of a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death and bombing of a place of public use resulting in death.

2. Mudslides Plague Western China- Flooding in western China triggered some of the worst mudslides in about 50 years yesterday as more than 30 people were buried under mud and trapped hundreds in an underground tunnel.

3. Tribune Company Will Spin Off Newspapers- The Tribune Company announced today that it will spin it’s newspaper until off into a different entity called “Tribune Publishing Company.” Tribune Co. hopes the move will free up more money for their TV and radio ventures.

4. Elizabeth Hasselbeck Will Leave “The View”- Elizabeth Hasselbeck announced yesterday that she will be leaving The View on ABC to join Fox & Friends on FoxNews in  September. Hasselbeck spend 10 years on The View. 

5. Hockey Hall of Fame Inductees Announced- The Hockey Hall of Fame announced their class of 2013 which includes New Jersey Devil, Scott Niedermeyer, Chicago Blackhawk Chris Chelios and Brendan Shanahan.
