The Five Things You Need To Know Today (June 4)

1. Obama Officials Using Secret E-Mail Addresses- The Associated Press (AP) reports today that several Obama officials including Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius have been using secret e-mail addressing, shrouding their dealings.

2. Trade Deficit Rises- The trade deficit rose in April as a rise in imports offset a rebound in exports. Economists report that trade deficit rose to $41 billion in April.

3. Bob Dylan To Be Awarded Legion D’Honneur- American music legend Bob Dylan is set to be given the award of “Legion D’Honneur” from France. The award is France’s highest honor and has also been given to Paul McCartney.

4. NBA Finals Set– Last night the Miami Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers in Game 7, setting up a NBA Finals of the San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat. The series will begin this Thursday.

5. RIP Frank Lautenberg- New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg passed away yesterday at the age of 89. He passed away from viral pneumonia. Lautenberg was the last sitting Senator to be a veteran of World War II.
